The Pots Brewery Bore Hole

Right outside the rear door of the Inn, is a little manhole, over which virtually every customer walks. But underneath this manhole is a 19m borehole constructed in August 1948. We recommissioned the water flow a few years ago and this is how we water all of our new and old flower beds and the Platinum Jubilee trees.
Suitably encouraged by this, we have now sunk another borehole near to the Brewery to 59m. In due course this will provide all of the water we need for the Brewery. Soils Limited in Winchester have been really helpful and the drillers on the job last week from the Isle of Sheppey loved Hampshire and our Flower Pots ales!
